Chinese Elementary Program: Decatur

LLIP is launching the Elementary Chinese Program. This Chinese program, for elementary school-aged (Grade 1,2, 3, 4 and 5) students, is a very innovative language learning program tailored for students of diverse backgrounds, which is designed to foster a love of Chinese language and culture, and learn important academic and life skills. We will offer a range of fun, creative, and educational courses including both academic (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) and dynamic enrichment components. The enrichment component includes music, math, art, science, sports, Chinese calligraphy, cooking, festivals & traditions, and much more!  

LLIP’s program admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin. We are a year round program operating August to July.

LLIP Elementary Chinese Program Objectives:

Learn the basic Chinese pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary and writing.

Learn to use Chinese to express yourself in the common life settings, such as feelings, experiences, thoughts, observations and needs.

Be able to read short stories, and discuss with others about their ideas and ask questions in Chinese.

Be able to write essays in short length with teacher’s help

Learn Chinese culture and traditions.
